Dispatch

How have I been sleeping on Dispatch? This is why festivals are rad, you are exposed to some kick ass bands that apparently everyone else has been bouncing around to, and now I get to as well.

What a fun set at Beachlife! Part reggae, part indie, part roots, add a little jam band , all Americana Dispatch awesomeness. To add to the visual glory of lead singer/guitarist Chadwick Stokes and his long luscious curly locks waving in the beach breeze while he rocks through each tune, artist Jimmy Ovadia live painted a stunning piece of an indigenous woman bringing attention to the numerous missing/murdered indigenous women in this country, that go unsolved and unprosecuted.

Dispatch’s set was fun, energetic and their dedicated fans jamming right along with the band, words sung right back to the band, was exciting. I really loved that even with the fun set, I admire Dispatch for having Ovadia paint such a beautiful piece of artwork right on stage for missing and murdered indigenous woman making a statement.
