Rayland Baxter
I’m astonished that the show even went on, let alone was as good as it was when I saw Rayland Baxter come out on crutches. Baxter had broken in leg just a day or two before arriving in Boise for Treefort Music Festival.
Taking a seat in the corner of the stage, Baxter put on a great show, with as much energy one can have (with pain meds as well I’m sure), getting out all the best tunes, “Mr, Rodriguez” and “Olivia” acoustic, the capacity crowd at the new Treefort Music Hall sang and danced along . And as the show wrapped, Baxter up on his crutches, the crowd thanks him profusely in many ways, yelling “THANK YOU!”, “HELL YEAH!” and many a “WE LOVE YOU!!!”, he gracefully gives a wave and crutches off stage. Definitely a fantastic show, broken leg or not!
