Ron Artis II - Portland Folk Festival
A magical way to end night one of Portland Folk Festival with Ron Artis II; a beautiful soul with a voice to match.
Starting the set solo, Artis kicked off his shoes and started his set with some soulful funk and the fastest fingers we’ve seen, maybe ever. Artis had the crowd in the palm of his hand , he impressed the crowd with his picking expertise, playing the guitar like it was three instruments- a bass, a rhythm, and lead all in one, extremely impressive.
His messages, as sincere as the smile on his face, concluded his set with “You are not unworthy of love, you’re worth love”, then proceeded to bring all of the night one’s performers on stage for a beautiful round to end the night.
