Eddie Berman - Portland Folk Festival

What a way to finish off a wonderful folk festival! Eddie Berman rounded out acoustic Sunday and the three day festical with his deep resounding vocals, introspective lyrics and stripped-down acoustic guitar to the stage on Sunday evening.

Telling intimate stories bringing emotions to the forefront, “Kira’s Song”, a song about the difficult and scary birth of his second daughter proved his lyrical prowess comes from within. Add wonderful storytelling and a sense of humor, segued into wonderful version of Paul Simon’s “You Can Call Me Al” . Confessing himself as “…just a man, a banjo and a couple of guitars”, Berman’s “Easy Rider” from album Before the Bridge was a beautiful swaying toe tapper, and made us fans for good.
