Tegan and Sara
I had only heard of Tegan and Sara by name only, and had no idea to what to expect. I have to say, I was pleasantly surprised to find a not-too-poppy emo-y alt but definitely more rock rock band with a giant fan base singing along.
I had no clue the depths of these sisters and their 20 years and 10 studio album careers, and I can absolutely appreciate not only their experience and stage presence, but the variety of their music. From slow emo-y tunes to full on new rock, I am here for it.
