I missed Modest Mouse while they were in town, and I was super stoked to see them on the bill for the first day of Beachlife, with no other band conflicts, so I was absolutely not missing the set.

I was fortunate enough to get close to the front and experience the rock that is Modest Mouse.

Lead singer/guitarist Isaac Brock, who’s usually low voice was a bit doused by a chest cold, their energy was not. Playing the last set on the Low Tide stage of the day, brought excitement of both old tunes and new, and for someone like me (who is just terrible with song titles), “Float On” was strategically played in the middle of the set.
